Pricing
A number before we start.
Three shapes of engagement, all at a fixed price. The number comes out of a discovery sprint. Once it is written down it does not move.
Discovery sprint
1–2 weeks
fixed price · ex VAT
Find out exactly what to build, and what it will cost.
- The process mapped as it actually runs
- Scope in plain language, with what is left out
- A clickable prototype for your team
- A fixed quote and a week-by-week plan
- Yours to take anywhere, including away from us
Fixed-scope build
6–14 weeks
fixed price · ex VAT · quoted after discovery
The product, the tool or the integration, delivered in slices you can use.
- A demo and a deploy at every milestone
- In your hands early, not at launch
- Accounts, roles, billing where needed
- Hosted and run by us in an EU region, or on your own cloud account
- Documentation, hand-over and a walkthrough
- Changes priced before they are built
Ongoing development
Month by month
fixed days per month · ex VAT · cancel monthly
A fixed number of days a month from the same team, after launch or on a codebase you already have.
- A fixed number of days per month
- Monthly planning, a demo at every milestone
- Dependency and security upgrades
- Hosting, backups and monitoring looked after
- One person to call
- Stop at the end of any month
Every price is fixed and ex VAT. The quote follows the discovery sprint and does not move unless the scope does.
In every engagement
Whichever shape it takes
- A fixed number before we start, and a price for any change before it is built
- The person you talk to is the person who writes the code
- Code in your GitHub from the first commit; hosting managed by us, or in your own cloud account
- Data in an EU region; GDPR handled by design, not by a banner
- No account managers, no ticket queue, no per-seat fees
- If we are not the right fit, we say so on the first call
Questions about money
Asked on most first calls
Why not an hourly rate?
An hourly rate makes every problem your problem. A fixed price puts the risk of a wrong estimate with the people who made the estimate, which is where it belongs. It also gives us every reason to build the simple version.
What happens when the scope changes?
It will, and that is fine. Small changes are part of the work and just get done; nobody quotes a moved button. When a change is big enough to move the price, you hear a number first and decide before anything is built. What it is never is a surprise on an invoice.
Why does a discovery sprint cost money?
Because it produces three things you can use: a scope, a prototype and a fixed quote. They are yours whether or not you build with us. A free sprint would have to be vague enough to be worthless.
What does it cost to run afterwards?
Hosting is usually managed by us in an EU region. One team looking after the running system is easier to keep healthy than a hand-over of infrastructure. If you would rather run it on your own cloud account, that works too. For a typical system it is tens to a few hundred euros a month. Ongoing development is optional and cancels monthly.

Tell us what you are trying to build. If it can be scoped we will propose a discovery sprint. If it is not worth building we will say so and save you the sprint.
